Search terms entered in a partner search box pass to that third-party provider. Messages supply what the sender chooses to include. Servers and service providers may automatically record an IP address, browser type, device data, referring page, viewed pages, and timestamps. Cookies or similar tools may support site functions, analytics, and advertising.
How Information Is Used
Data may be used to operate and secure the site, answer messages, diagnose faults, measure traffic, improve content, prevent misuse, and show or assess advertising. It is not used to alter Keweenaw County records.
Who May Receive Data
Information may reach search partners, hosting and analytics vendors, ad networks, and contractors that support the site. It may also be disclosed to law enforcement or another authority when required by a valid legal order, or when reasonably needed to protect rights and safety.

Reasonable safeguards are used, but no online system is perfectly secure. Data is kept only as long as reasonably needed for operations, legal duties, dispute handling, and security.
Children and User Rights
The site is not intended for people under 18. Depending on applicable law, a user may ask to access, correct, or delete personal data the site controls, or object to certain processing. These rights do not extend to records held by Keweenaw County or Michigan agencies.
